WHY GO PAPERLESS?

1.   Save a tree – and more: A whole lot of natural resources (trees, oil, water, etc.) are unnecessarily consumed in the monthly production of our newsletter. An electronic, or PDF, version of  MTL is much more environment-friendly. (The PDF version will be in exactly the same format as the print version.)

2.   Save the club some serious bucks: Printing and mailing the newsletter is the biggest single item in our budget – it costs more than the club receives from annual membership dues. Opting in for the PDF version will free up much needed funds for our conservation and education programs as well as club activities.

3.   It’s simple: A link to a PDF file will be emailed to you each month. One click, and you can access the newsletter and read it on screen as often as you like. Or you can print it out if you want a hardcopy. All you need to open the PDF file is Adobe Acrobat Reader. (If you don’t have Reader, it is available free on the Archive page.)

4.   It’s fast: The PDF file is available immediately, while the print version has to go to the printer, then to the mailing team, and finally through the ‘snail-mail’ system. It may not show up in your mailbox for a week after the PDF file is available online.

5.   It’s searchable: The PDF issues of Mending The Line are available 24/7 on the website in the Archive section. You can use them to create your own database of fly fishing information.
